Make Money with Your Own Blog

By Joan Masterson

Well, basically, setting up a blog means that you are creating a little space of your own on the Internet where you can make posts about anything that interests you. Of course, if you are going to be blogging on a variety of topics, the best way to make money with it would be to have different blogs for different topics otherwise your blog will be just one big jumbled mess that nobody would want to read about.

So what topics should you blog on? Well, I would suggest blogging about your own interests or favourite hobbies. There are always people out there who could learn from your specific experience.

Let's say for instance your favourite passion is your love for dogs. You could blog about anything pertaining to dogs. Do you know how to potty train a dog in a week? Lots of people would love to know how to get their dogs not to do their potty work inside the house :) Or do you have a recipe for a dog biscuit that your dog absolutely adores? There are lots of people who absolutely adore their dogs - I am one! And they do a lot of searches on the topics of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens etc. So why not make some money out of sharing your own knowledge to help those people? Share your tips with them and they will just love you for it!

So, how would you make money out of having a blog even if you don't have a product to sell? One word: Adsense. Adsense is a program offered by Google that pays webmasters and blog owners to display Google ads called Adwords on their sites, and if you have a blog that gets many visitors, they will click on the ads which means that you will earn money from it. To learn more about how to apply for and start using Adsense on your own site, visit : Google Ads

Some tips before you apply for the Adsense program:

1. You have to have an existing blog or an existing site.

2. Your website has to have at least 10-15 pages of relevant content. If you have a blog that you want to apply adsense to, you have to have at least 5 or more posts on your blog.

3. Your blog or site must have a clean, easy to use interface. No under construction pages or broken links, or too many animated gifs, or pop ups.

4. You don't have to have a professionally designed website or blog. The simpler your site is the better for the search engines to spider, and the better it will be for your visitors to navigate.

How to get a blog? You can either have blog that you can host at your own website, like Wordpress Wordpress is an easy to set up php script that is free for download.

Alternatively, you could use any of the free blog services like: Blogger to set up a blog that will be hosted on their server.

So to recap: Select a topic that you would like to blog about, set up a blog, make a couple of posts a day on your blog, wait about 5 days, then apply for the Google Adsense program.

Once you have been approved for Adsense, you should submit your blog or website to the major search engines. If you don't know the major search engines, do a search for "free website submission". You will find that there are a lot of sites that will allow you to use their services for free to submit your site or blog to various search engines.

Their are various blog directories that you should also list your blog with. Once again, do a search for blog directories, and submit your site to all the the ones that you can find.

Tell others about your blog, your family and friends etc. Ask them to tell others about your blog. That way you will start getting instant traffic. Just a word of caution: do NOT ask family and friends to click on your adsense ads, and under no circumstances should you click on any of the ads yourself - that is a sure fire way of getting banned by Google and you will have lost a valuable income source!

Now that you know how to start your own blog, you have no excuse not to make money online! Happy blogging!

10 Sizzling Tips For Affiliates

By Ken Hill

1. Create an infopacked mini site. Build your mini site for a specific niche audience and then choose affiliate programs specifically for that niche audience.

2. Test and track your ads and promotions for your affiliate programs.

Tracking and testing your ads will show you exactly which ads, promotions and affiliate programs pay off the most for you and are excellent choices for you to continue to promote.

3. Publish an ezine.

Your ezine will give you a powerful way to promote your affiliate programs to your subscribers.

Choose affiliate programs that relate to the content of your ezine and that make it worth your while to promote them.

4. Promote your affiliate programs by recommending their products.

You could recommend your affiliate programs to your ezine subscribers in your publisher's note or you could create a recommended resources section where you promote your affiliate programs in every issue.

You could also recommend your affiliate programs to your visitors by creating a recommended affiliate programs section where you list your favorite affiliate programs along with descriptions of their products or services.

In addition, you could create a best affiliate programs section that helps you build up your second tier by listing the affiliate programs that have paid off the most for you.

5. Write product reviews where you detail the benefits you like about your affiliate program's product.

Make your product reviews honest and hype f~ree and post them on your site along with your other articles.

6. Write your own ads for your affiliate program.

A good way to create your ads is to look at the ad copy on the site of the business you want to promote and also ads they provide for their affiliates to use, and use their unique selling proposition or USP to write your ads.

Their unique selling proposition is a unique benefit that they promote in their ad copy that their competitors don't stress or offer to their visitors.

It could be that their product saves lots of time, is easy to understand, that their product is a complete answer to a problem, or it could involve their price.

Some businesses develop more than one USP so you'll be able to choose the one that you think works best in getting more targeted visitors to their site.

7. Try out the support of the companies you want to promote by asking questions.

This will help you to find out how long it takes them to respond to emails (if they respond to emails) and how professional they are.

8. Create freebies that promote your affiliate programs.

You could offer your visitors a f~ree email course, an ebook filled with your tips or articles or an ebook that provides your visitors with places to promote their businesses.

When creating freebies for an affiliate program that is 2 tier, increase your profits by letting your affiliates in your second tier use your freebies as a promotional item.

9. Create a directory.

Your directory could be an article, ezine, ebook or affiliate program directory.

List your own resources within your directory to increase your commissions. For example, you could add your own affiliate programs to your affiliate programs directory or your ebooks to your ebook directory.

Add a what's new section to your directory to garner more repeat traffic from your visitors.

You could also provide a tutorial on the subject of your directory, or add things to your directory that your visitors can use on a regular basis to get more repeat traffic.

10. Run ezine ads for your affiliate programs.

You could purchase sponsor, feature, classified or solo ads for your affiliate program.

Choose ezines with subscribers targeted to be interested in the products of the business you want to promote.

Run your ads for multiple issues in a row when possible to maximize the profit you get from your ads.

You can also run f~ree ads in ezines as many ezines offer
f~ree advertising on a weekly, monthly or per issue basis to
get more new subscriptions.

Running f~ree ads can help you find out which ads work best,
and which ezines are most responsive before you purchase
ezine advertising.

Internet Business - Making Money Online

By Brian Camilleri

We all are in search of the silver spoon that will put our business on automatic pilot and the only thing we have to do is cash the checks. Aren’t you looking for this as well? I say you are and that’s the reason why you’re actually reading this article. You’re hoping to find the one tool, the one method, the one trick or the magic system that will make your dreams come true.

However, I have to disappoint you. There is no such thing as a silver spoon that will magically run your business while you sit back, relax and do nothing. If there was one, why is everybody trying to sell you the next big thing or the breakthrough that will make you rich and you won’t need to chase the magic system anymore?

Are you still confused? Because I am. You bet! Without exact and clear definition of what you are doing, there will be no answers. What does being rich mean to you? What exactly will the $50,000 solve for you? It sure means something different to you than it does to me. We all strive to achieve our financial freedom, and that’s the only thing we have in common

Sorry for getting off topic here, but I bet you still want to know how to make real money with an Internet business, don’t you? So no more repeating marketing material over and over again , but instead I will tell you how I make real money with my Internet business.

First, you need a product and a website to sell your product. I joined several programs that offer new tools and books with full master resale rights every month. What this actually means is that I can resell these products and keep 100% of the profit. I also have full control over the sales letter. This is very important. You are the one to set the price and you decide which bonus material you want to add. You also need somebody to process the credit card payments. My choices are PayPal and Clicbank.

Right, so by now you have a fantastic sales web site and you’re ready for business, but there is still a problem. To your misfortune nobody knows that you just opened for business and the cobwebs are starting to grow on your front door. The missing killer ingredient is traffic.Yep,you need traffic and LOTS OF IT! Don, do what I did. After joining all kinds of traffic exchange programs I can honestly say, they don’t work. You need something more powerful.

So here is exactly what I do every time I create a new web site for a new product I’m promoting, whether as my own or as an affiliate. I put an ad on the major pay-per-click engines like Google, Oveture, 7search and FindWhat. This gives my business a jump start. Please read all terms and agreements of these before you jump in, as they can be very dangerous.

Next I create backdoor pages for the new web site and promote them to the search engines through a blog. Search engines will index your pages much faster when you have a link to them from a blog. Never submit your sales web site directly to any search engines. You will get much higher rankings if they find you.

I also make sure that I place a popup window on every doorway page to sign up for my newsletter. One, that cannot be blocked. This way, at least, I’m sure to capture the email addresses of my visitors. Also several Google AdSense windows will give me a little kick back.

Now a way to make it even more profitable, I take advantage of the thank you page for the newsletter subscription. I give away free stuff with lots of references to other web sites of mine and I make the subscriber aware that the real good stuff to download is hidden in an email. Therefore if they give you a fake email just to download the free stuff it won’t work. But at least they download the free promo material. My statistics are showing me that this is working. I always make sure that the free stuff I’m giving away has viral marketing built in. Meaning, it needs to reproduce itself without any intervention from my part.

This doesn’t sound like much, but after setting up 5 sales web sites, the system is gaining momentum. Very soon, I will be able to drop the pay-per-click advertising, and I know that the system is able to support itself with enough visitors in order to make a profit.

Yeah I know, this is a lot of work. However, think about it and picture it in your head. Let’s say you put together a new sales web site every month. The possibility is that after 6 months you break even with the initial startup cost and pay-per-click costs. After that you’re making net profits. Let’s also say you’re making $200 a month in profits. Not much, but to be realistic. After just one year, if you have 12 sales web sites up and running, they produce $2400 a month in profits. Now tell me, would you walk away from a business like that? I didn’t think so!

Here’s a reality check for you, “if you want to get rich very quick you need to pray to win the lottery. But if you want to start a serious Internet business I advise you to follow my strategy. It works for me, and the chances are that it will work for you too. If you really want to push this system to the limits simply create several top of the pick affiliate programs and your profits will sky rocket through the roof.

Sincerely,

Brian Camilleri

Practical Affiliate Marketing Tips

Practical Affiliate Marketing Tips
By Rene Ng

So you’ve set your sights on a particular niche product from an affiliate program and you are all set to make your kill on the internet. You ask yourself, what do I do next and where can I get my first customer?

Before you start running to google ( adwords ) and put your affiliate link on your ad. Note that google no longer allows affiliate links to be advertised directly. You need to create your own sale page or landing page and advertise it instead. ( no such constrain on other PPC company )

As in any internet marketing. You need customer, otherwise your business is as good as dead. You can get traffic from many different sources. Some you pay, some are free but you may have to do some work.

The following are they different types of online traffic you may want to consider.

• Pay per click

• Traffic exchange

• Safelist

• Article writing

• Ezines

• SEO

• Email marketing

Whichever of the above method you choose to get your traffic . You need to make full use of them by creating your own list . ( customer data base ) The typical statistic for first time buyers online is around 0.5% ( less than one out of every 100 visitors ) If you pay for these traffic and they do not buy the first time, they are gone forever. That is why you need to capture them in a list and contact then in the near future to increase you chances of sales. Statistics shows that customer usually buy after the third round of persuasion.

In real life marketing, customers get to see you and yet not all will buy from you. Now put yourself in your customer’s shoe and think for a moment if you would buy from someone you’ve never met or even seen in person. Buying online can be a big risk. To defuse this tension you need to pre-sell and not hard sell. You need to create a “love me” not “buy me” mentality. One way of doing this is to offer free stuff or highly desirable content. Once you get pass this stage, the rest will follow.

To do that, you create an opt-in form in your sales or landing page when you promote your product. Encourage potential customer to provide their name and email before sending them to the main page. That way, even if they don’t buy now. You can always follow-up on them later to make them buy from you another day. Your chances of a purchase is now raise for the initial 0.5% to 3% with follow-up sales letters.

Keep building your list of targeted customer and you will see you business skyrocket in time to come. It is something that all internet marketers cannot do without.

In conclusion, affiliate marketing is a combination of art and technique. Learn it , improve on it , and you’re made for life. Do not rush into it thinking that your affiliate link and some skimpy ads is all you need to make that sales. It takes a lot of planning and hard work to made you a truly successfully online affiliate. Made for the long haul.

Don't Burn A Hole In Your Wallet - 5 Google Adwords Tips For Beginners

By Keith Riffle

There are many beginners out there who throw away their hard earned dollars on Google Adwords. Since I don't want that to happen to you, here are Five Google Adwords tips which can help you hold onto your hard earned cash:

1. Turn the content network off. You will often get untargeted traffic clicking away at your ads out of curiosity. You can make money with the content network, but most people lose money on it, so turn it off!!!

2. Use a keyword tool to help generate search phrases. There are some good free keyword tools out there such as Lexfn, The Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool, Good Keywords, and Nichebot.

3. Don't throw a bunch of unrelated keywords into one adgroup. For example, if you are selling ice to Eskimos, don't put "snowman" and "make money with ice" into the same adgroup - seperate these into their own distinct adgroups using common keywords.

4. Use your keyword in your ad, preferably in the headline (again, group common keywords together into the same adgroups). This will help lower your cost per click, since Google usally gives you a higher quality score when you do this.

5. Don't overspend per click. Divide the total price of your commission by 100 to get the maximum cost you should spend per click. For example, if your commission is $25, divide $25/100 to get a maximum 25 cents per click. This means that if 1 person out of every 100 people who clicks on your ad makes a sale, you'd break even. Your product may convert at 1 in 50 meaning that you can raise your bid price a little if you are willing to risk more, but keep in mind that there is no guarantee that your product will convert at 1 in 250, so try and be as conservative as possible, at least when starting out! If the keywords you want are more expensive than your maximum cost per click, try to think of related phrases that might trigger the same ad.

This isn't EVERYTHING you need to know about Google Adwords, but its a good starting point. If you are serious about Google Adwords, I highly recommend reading a good ecourse on how to beat Google Adwords at its own game.

Keith works full time in the insurance industry and part time as an internet marketer. For more information on programs which will help you beat Adwords, please visit http://BeatingAdwords.net

A Beginner's Guide To Making Money Online

By Anwar Ahmed Ally

Okay, you’re reading this because you want to make money online. You are fairly new to this, so you want some assistance. Well, you’re reading the right article. I will attempt to show you the basics on how to start an online money-making venture as quickly as possible.

The internet, through its sheer size, can be a bit overwhelming for a newcomer especially if there’s so many different types of lucrative opportunities out there. Follow these simple steps to get started.

STEP 1: Understand how money is made on the internet

In its simplest form, money can be made on the internet in roughly three ways:

By setting up your own web site

A web site can be an ideal way to make money online. However, it should be pointed out that you have to be prepared to put in a lot of hard work and have a great deal of patience. Your web site can make money by you offering a product or service on it or by earning advertising revenue or both. You can sell just about anything on a web site but it is recommended that you start with items that are instantly downloadable like software or ebooks. This spares you the agony and extra work of having to specially ship physical items around the world.

You will start by choosing a domain name, registering it and hosting your site. You need to design a site to suit your needs and what you have to sell. You can use the services of a web designer to do this for you or if you are the creative sort with reasonable computer knowledge and some good common sense, you could do this yourself –it’s not that difficult!

You will also need the ability to accept credit card payments from your customers. This has become reasonably easy to do these days by simply making use of a third party processor. Search for these on the search engines. You then need to market your web site either by way of paid ads or by using good Seo (search engine optimization) techniques to get your site ranked well in the search engines.

An alternate method of making money with a web site is by offering free, useful and quality content that appeals to users. Once you have built up a decent amount of regular visitors, you host Google Adsense ads. Google will pay you a commission on all their ads that are clicked on your site. You can also offer paid advertising to other web sites on your own by way of text or banner ads.

By doing some sort of online work for a company

There are numerous genuine companies out there that offer part time work to ordinary individuals. You can find research work, taking of surveys, data capturing, typing, etc. You can source these companies by searching for them on the search engines.

By participating in affiliate programs

Affiliate programs are popular with work-at-homers. An affiliate program is simply an advertising/marketing program run by company/web site in which they get members to refer visitors to their site. Members are paid per visitor or per sign-up or a combination of both. Most affiliate programs are free to join and the company will provide you with marketing/advertising aids in the form of text ads, sales copy, banners, etc to use. It is quite alright for you to participate in more that one affiliate program at the same time – this greatly increases your chance of success. Incidentally, affiliate activities create a great deal of internet traffic. To further increase your chance of success with affiliate programs, only join established companies that offer well respected and popular products or services.

STEP 2: Decide what you feel comfortable with

Now that you have a brief idea on the most popular money-making methods, you need to decide which one appeals to you. Once you have, feel free to do more research in that area and try to get as much information as possible. Play around with a few ideas until you are sure what you want to do.

STEP 3: Finding the right opportunity

Once you’ve decided on what you’d like to do, you now need to find the right opportunity. If you’ve decided to start your own web site, you need to determine what it’s going to be about. It’s best to base it upon something you have a fair knowledge of or are passionate about. If you’ve decided to take the affiliate route or to do online work for a company, make sure you are dealing with a reputable company that pays promptly. Use the search engines to find possible companies, then email these companies with any questions you have. Ask for references (people who are doing work for this company) and contact these people about their experiences.

Following these simple steps should put you on the right track very quickly. All the best!
